RECYCLING YOUR OLD ELECTRICALS IS EASY!

Recycle your electrical and electronic devices free at your local recycling centre. To find your nearest centre, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.

WHY RECYCLE?

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest-growing type of waste.

Many large electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle your old electrical equipment this will end up in landfill where hazardous substances can leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.

The Green Sheep Group are proud to support your local authority in providing local recycling facilities for electrical equipment.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, our SnuzCloud packaging is marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not dispose of your SnuzCloud, or any other electrical equipment (including those marked with this symbol) in your normal household waste.

WHAT IS WEEE?

The UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations were introduced in 2007 and allow members of the public to dispose of old electrical and electronic items at recycling sites across the UK, free of charge.

The Regulations were introduced to reduce the number of electrical items that were sent to landfill and to process the materials these products typically contain in an environmentally friendly way.

HOW IS GREEN SHEEP GROUP HELPING?

In the UK distributors and retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge.

As a responsible retailer and distributor, we have chosen to meet the requirements of the regulations by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership to the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).

CAN I ALSO RECYCLE MY OLD BATTERIES?

Whilst Snüz products are not supplied with batteries, it is important to remember that any AAA batteries used in your SnüzCloud can also be recycled. Just like the SnuzCloud, these should not be disposed of in your normal household waste. Many retailers, including supermarkets, have facilities for collection of portable batteries (such as AAA) and some local authorities will collect these alongside normal waste collections. Batteries can also be recycled at your local household waste centre.

We recommend visiting the Recycle More website or contacting your local authority for more information.
