Although the mattress cover is waterproof, we do recommend using a mattress protector for ease of use, and to keep the mattress in perfect condition.

The mattress cover is removable and machine washable up to 40 degrees. Do not wash or dry clean the fillings. If the item becomes soiled, spot clean lightly only with warm water and a mild detergent. Allow to dry completely and naturally away from direct sunlight.

Use the attached cutter to carefully remove plastic from the mattress, do not use a knife as you may damage the mattress. Lie the mattress flat with the white side up, and leave to breathe and form its shape for 7 days before using.

SnuzSurface Pro is advertised for children up to 7 years not because it’s not suitable for children aged 7-10 years, but purely down to the average lifespan of a mattress, which is typically used for 7-8 years. After this time, a mattress has typically been subjected to over 20,000 hours of wear and tear!

This depends how long you’ve been using your Surface mattress for. When using the SnuzSurface Pro mattress with the SnuzKot from birth to conversion into a junior bed, we recommend following the advice provided by The Sleep Charity and the National Bed Federation to change the mattress once it's 7 years old.
